Many people experience anxiety some of the time, but it can become a real problem if you frequently feel anxious or fearful. There are many different symptoms of anxiety, and sometimes the feeling is in response to a specific situation and sometimes it's more vague and generalized. In this article we'll be discussing some of the more common symptoms of anxiety.

One of the most common symptoms of anxiety is fatigue or feeling tired much of the time. Insomnia, of course, will make matters worse. When your body doesn't get enough sleep each night, you become even more listless and have less energy. Still, if someone suffers from anxiety they can get a lot of sleep each night and still feel fatigued the next day. The fact is, worrying puts a lot of strain on your body and nervous system, which can cause fatigue. When you find that you are tired all the time, go to your physician or health clinic for a check up. If no physical or medical reason is discovered, you can pretty much assume that you have an anxiety disorder. To the extent you can learn how to relax and stop the worry scenarios from repeating over and over in your mind, your energy should start to come back.

The psychological condition of feeling overly anxious is generally related to having to deal with anxiety. Sudden emotional changes such as panicking and feeling a little crazy are related to the condition of anxiety. It may be accompanied by physical symptoms such as hyperventilation. Strangely, there is a connection that has been noted between your breathing and the way that you feel so if you can do deep breathing exercises, you should be able to recover on your own. Panic attacks are usually caused by certain events, though they have been known to spontaneously occur. Always talk to your physician once you begin experiencing panic attacks as they can help you control them. You should probably seek professional therapy for your panic attacks and get on some type of medication to help you. These are among the most severe symptoms of anxiety, and many people who experience anxiety never have episodes of this kind.

Anxiety attacks, though rare, they also be accompanied by physical circumstances. If you suffer from anxiety, more than likely you have experienced some of the physical components such as stomach pain. These types of painful feelings in your abdominal area may have a different origin so always check with your physician. You can also experience diarrhea and frequent urination due to your feelings of anxiety. Such physical symptoms are one reason why anxiety should always be taken seriously, as it can have a harmful effect on the body as well as your emotional state.

There are such a variety of symptoms of anxiety that we've only been able to address a small number of them in this article.
