New Year Resolutions

By Nelson Mandel

Heureux and Heureuse

If you take good resolutions for 2012, it is good, but it isn't enough.

The resolution is the expression of a desire.

Then it faces the grim reality of life, hindrances, doubts, difficulties.

And that is where most people abandon and forget their good resolutions.

And as the same thing occurs every year, they at last say it is pointless to make resolutions.

But the problem is not due to resolutions: the actual problem is about not taking the means to realize them...

Imagine a sports figure who takes the resolution to win a gold gong at the 2012 Olympic Games in London... But he doesn't have any strategy, nor does he take the means important to achieve its goal, nor does he trains each day.

We know in advance that he won't achieve his goal, and that his resolution will remain a vague desire...

And this is what the majority do: just wishing things, and then going back to their daily life...

The actuality is: to win a gong at the Olympics he must give himself the means, any means, all without certainty about the result.

But he has still to remain determined and take actions each day...

Then the resolution becomes a goal, and nearly an obsession.

If your taking resolutions in 2012, know that they express a latent wish, and it is important to take into consideration to sanction a tactic and do something to reach your goal.

Focus is one of the main elements to achieve your dreams and be happy.

If you have focus and take actions, each day, even when your undecided of yourself, even when you don't have the expected results, then the resolution becomes possible and transforms into fact.

And it'll be a dependable source of pride that will give you happiness and increase the confidence in yourself...

I only wish you a wonderful year 2012, I only wish you a year where you transform your resolutions into feats, to be happy and make a lasting happiness...
